Graduate-level trainees, post-doctoral trainees, or junior faculty members (defined for this purpose as non-tenure-track faculty or tenure-track for less than three years) are eligible to receive a travel award. Abstracts of eligible authors requesting to be considered for travel awards will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee and International Program Committee, excluding any committee members who may have a conflict of interest. The Organizing Committee and International Program Committee will select a limited number of abstracts for receipt of travel awards of 100,000 Japanese yen each, depending on available funds. Evaluation of abstracts for travel awards will be based on a combination of innovation of the project, scientific rigor of the approach, financial need (lack of other funding to enable attendance), and voluntarily self-reported membership in a traditionally underrepresented group. It is important to understand that financial need and voluntarily reported membership in an underrepresented group are only two of the factors considered.

General Guidelines for Abstract Submission
Abstracts may be submitted for oral or poster presentations. Authors are asked to advise their preference; however, the decision of which abstracts to select for oral presentation is the responsibility of the Congress Scientific Committee.
Abstracts must be submitted via the Congress website. Only abstracts submitted via the online submission form will be sent to the Abstract Review Committee for review. Abstracts submitted by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.
All abstracts should be submitted and presented in clear English.
Abstracts must be original but it will be allowed to submit even if it has been published.
Presenting authors must be registered participants. Only abstracts of authors who have paid their registration fees by the Early Registration Deadline will be scheduled for presentation and included for publication.
